You have literally "hypnotized your brain" to believe that there is no happy ending, be aware, be careful, and don't trust anyone but yourself. Unfortunately, if these thoughts keep ruminating, you will even stop trusting your own judgement. "What if, I shouda, couda, wouda keeps running through your mind to the point where you can't make a decision. If these persistent thoughts continue for any length of time, you will go into an Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder, or General Anxiety Disorder-worrying about everything. Yes there are great drugs for this condition, but often they only mask the problem that lies beneath the surface. Hypnosis can be a great tool for reaching the subconscious and finding out where the fears originated There are usualy three sources.
It could be inheritated family traits passed on from your cautious mom or your doubting dad. Believe it or not, that is the easist one to change. You are not your past, you can change this part of you through counseling and hypnosis to a great extent, so give it a try.
The next section that influences erroneous thinking is the world you live in, social commentary, magazines and the all mighty TV and internet. What news have you heard recently that is good news? What thoughts come through the air waves that make you feel safe? You are bombarded by what people expect of you, is your country safe? Will you have a job? How will your survive? Violence is up! Yet, there are people, actually the majority of the world, that can figure out how to live, how to survive, and how to thrive in the worst of conditons. Does that mean you ignore poverty, wars, earthquakes, and a shaky economy? Of course not! The difference, is with a clear mind, you work toward a solution, not get swollowed up in the bleak reports. Things change starting with one person. If one little eight year old boy in England could raise $2,000 for Haiti by riding his bike for 5 miles and taking up contributions from sponsers, imagine what you can do if you put your mind to it. So it starts with you, ignore the opinions of others, you too have an opinion, listen to your own thoughts, open up your subconscious mind through hypnosis and see what you are really all about. I know from experience, you will find some pretty amazing strengths shining throug all that fear.
The third form of anxiety and erroneus thoughts comes from an organic source. What are you putting into your body, are you eating right, doing drugs, or drinking alcohol? Think of yourself as a machine, an expensive Nascar that can win any race. You take care of the expensive racing machine by giving it good fuel with the right ratio of oxygen and gasoline to burn efficiently. You take care of repairs immediately and you brighten your ride with the best looking paint job and chrome wheels that you can afford Same principal applies to your body. Only breathe clean oxygen, not pollutants from fuel, pesticides and smoke. You keep your human engine clean, by offering top of the food chain nutirents, not sugars, carbs, drugs or alcohol. It will slow down your engine, it will blow brain cells and you will find your self with a foggy, sad, restless, confused brain. Now about the paint job, re-invent yourself, start looking good by exercising, re-shaping your body, styling your hair and wearing comfortable stylish clothes It is all part of the big picture. So much you can do to fight for a positive mind set. You can do it on your own, or hypnotherapy can get you on the right track if you feel stuck.
Remember, your negative thoughts might not be correct. Breathe, take care of yourself , and see the world through a diffetent light. concentrate on what is good about the world, people and yourself, not what is wrong.I leave you with a poem that illustrates an erroneous mind. Let me know what your think!
The Cookie Thief
Valarie Cox
With several long hours before her flight
She hunted for a book in the airport shop
Bought a bag of cookies and found a place to drop
She was engrossed in her book but happened to see
That the man beside her as bold as could be
Grabbed a cookie or two from the bag between
Which she tried to ignore to avoid a scene
She munched cookies and watched the clock
As this gutsy cookie thief diminished her stock
She was getting more irritated as the minutes ticked by
Thinking "If I wasn't so nice I'd blacken his eye"
With each cookie she took he took one too
And when only one was left she wondered what he'd do
With a smile on his face and a nervous laugh
He took the last cookie and broke it in half
He offered her half as he ate the other
She snatched it from him and thought "Oh brother
This guy has some nerve and he's also rude
Why he didn't even show any gratitude"
She had never known when she had been so galled
And sighed with relief when her flight was called
She gathered her belongings and headed for the gate
Refusing to look back at the thieving ingrate
She boarded the plane and sank in her seat
Then sought her book which was almost complete
As she reached in her baggage she gasped with surprise
There was her bag of cookies in front of her eyes
"If mine are here" she moaned with despair
"Then the others were his and he tried to share"
"Too late to apologize she realized with grief"
That she was the rude one, the ingrate, the thief
Here's to your mental and physical health
