I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU....
Greetings from Doc Judie
Singer Whitney Houston found dead
I am sure you have heard the news as the airways are talking about it non-stop.I had the "flu" today, so I sat on the couch, took handfuls of amino acids and watched everything that came across the tube about Whitney. Everybody had a "theory" on what happened to her, and until the toxicology report is in, we will have to wait.
There were three opinions that I found interesting. One was Whoopie Goldburg who had a long time connection to Whitney and was furious that everyone was trying to figure out how she died, reports that she was drinking all day long by the pool and all night long before the Grammy's party. Whoopie just wanted her friend to be remembered for her beautiful voice and the rest could be discovered after she is buried on Saturday. Often times, we want to remember the good things about a person and not talk about their drugs or alcohol habits that could have taken their life, but the stats tell a different story. Prescription pills are the #3 killer of people right behind heart attacks and cancer. People die every 18 mintutes from a mixture of prescription drugs and alcohol; a deadly combination THAT KILLS MORE PEOPLE THAN STREET DRUGS.
The second opinion was Nancy Grace who came from the mind of an attorney and wanted to examine everything from accidental drowning in the bath tub to "foul play" or a homicide. She took t a lot of heat for her suspicious mind but she explained that the police department had to be consider everything and that is why they did the autopsy.
The third set of opinions came from the medical community / Dr. Drew Pinsky ,rehab specialist, and Dr. Sanjay Gupta, TV correspondent and cardiologist. They talked about the long history of Whitney abuse of alcohol and drug addiction. the background story continued about Whitney dying almost broke, going through One Hundred Million dollars; the third highest paid singer in the world. She was in and out of rehab and was scheduled to go back in after the Grammys, but she never made it. A voice coach came on for part of the interview and stated that Whitney, the best female singer of my generation could only hit two notes in the high range. He voice was burnt out from years of smoking and drinking.
Now I am sure you have your opinion and your own memories, but I was so sadden and actually angry. What a complete waste of talent, money and life. Pinsky explained it from an addiction specialist's viewpoint. This was not a conscious effort, an addict cannot help what they do, it is beyond willpower. They can't have even one drink, their mind is wired for excess and they can't stop. She didn't mean to take pills, drink alcohol, lose her fortune, her voice and her life, she just could not stop. I thought of all my struggling clients who have a little Whitney in them and I know what a tough road it is to get sober. I remember one of my clients, a talented drummer who had a bad heart, took Xanex and continued to drink; he too died Maybe that is why I am paying so much attention to this celebrity death, the story belongs to all of us directly or indirectly.
.Sanjay Cupid explained what happens to the brain physically and how the death could have occurred: Both Xanax (found in her room) and alcohol are both central nervous system depressants. It was also reported that Whitney had a cold and could have been taking cold medicine as well. The combination of the drugs and alcohol messes with the hippocampus, the part of the brain that regulates heart rate and breathing. It could have just shut off. It is a deadly combination.
So if Whitney and all her millions could not save her, or Michael Jackson or Amy Winehouse etc, etc, etc what works? I study and read everything I can get my hands on; from AA meetings, to Dr. Amen to a team called Passages / Pax and Chris Prentissm authors of"The alcoholism and Addiction Cure" to Julia Ross author of" the Mood Cure" and my own source, Don Tyson, scientist and owner of Montiff Amino Acids.
Going through the medical model, people in addiction crisis have to straighten out their own biology. They brains are craving serotonin or dopamine that the drugs and alcohol provide. It does not make sense to substitute one drug for another, especially when amino acid formulas (natural protein super food) can do the same thing. I only use Montiff amino acid formulas as they are the purest form of pharmaceutical strength on the market. When people are past the cravings, then I can use my training in counseling and hypnosis to help them rebuild their lives. One portion of my treatment does not work alone, it takes all three parts to reach my clients and the ones that stay with me and work the program have amazing results.
So don't give up, there is a way out of addiction. Call me for a consultation and let me explain how aminos acids can help you through this horrible chapter in your life. It does not have to end up like Whitney.
Here is to your mental and physical health and your sobriety
